Windows 10 allows you to stream your Xbox games to your computer when using the same network. However, it’s pity for Mac users as until now there is not any official support for Mac. But now there is a new app, called OneCast with the same functions that Windows users usually use, which lets you stream your Xbox One games directly to your Mac. All you need is connecting an Xbox One controller through Bluetooth or USB and then enjoy your Xbox games right on your Mac.

The OneCast software normally costs $20, but it’s on the discount for only $9.99 until April 1st. You can also get a free trial for 14 days, so you can check if the software works well with your setup. Here’s how you can get started.

We tried testing this software by using our Xbox One X connected to the home network with a network cable and our MacBook connected to a 5Ghz WiFi network connection. The setup is very easy and it, of course, works well. We set the video quality at High level and it brought to us the same experience as playing games on a Windows laptop using the same network. The video looked great and the controls are very responsive for almost of time. There are only a few moments while playing fast twitch games like Forza Horizon 3 that it’s a little bit lag, but with the action games like PUBG, it’s a good experience for only $9.99.

You can also set it up in order to play on an external network over the Internet but it might affect the performance if you don’t have the good & stable internet connections.

Here are all the steps you need to set up for playing the Xbox One games on your Mac. Make sure your Xbox One is already connected to your network with the help of an Ethernet cable and then connect your Mac to a 5Ghz network on your Wi-Fi. The software also allows you to pair newer Xbox One controllers to your Mac via Bluetooth. To do so, just hold the sync button near the USB connection and navigate to Settings -> Bluetooth and then connect to the Xbox One controller wirelessly. You can also plug a USB to Micro USB cable for the connection. Once plugged in, launch OneCast, and click on Controller, choose Install the Xbox One Controller USB driver.
