If you backup your iPhone using iTunes (or Finder on macOS Catalina), the backup file is stored on your PC or Mac.. but where?

Mar 21, 2017  Hi, iTunes 12.3, when I downloaded, i cannot find under /Library/iTunes/iPhone Software Updates. Maybe I delete folder /iPhone Software Updates. So where the ipsw software?

To locate a list of your backups manually, follow these steps:

1. Open your search box.
   • Windows 7: click Start
   • Windows 8: click the magnifying glass in the top-right corner
   • Windows 10: click the Search box next to the Start button
2. Click inside the search box and type: %appdata%
3. Hit Enter (Return) on your keyboard
4. From here, open these folders: Apple Computer > MobileSync > Backup

Your backups will now be listed for you as seen in the image below. Note that these files are not human-readable. If you need to view and access this data, skip to step 3.

   In Finder, connect your device and select it from the list of Locations. In the General section, click Manage Backups. Right-click a backup adn select 'Show in Finder'.
