Hi.I had this same exact issue with my PowerMac G4. However I had to perform an Archive and Install this morning to repair my Mac after a very serious crash (failed installation of Security Update 2008-007) and now the iSight camera is working again. As I said, try the iSight discussion area first and see if some of the other repair techniques work for you, because performing an Archive and Install is a big deal that will take you quite some time to perform and to clear up afterwards. Another app is using the camera macbook pro. Thus far I've recovered my iMac to OSX 10.4.4, which is what was on my install disk, and I am yet to perform updates to bring it back to 10.4.11, so I can't say for certain that iSight will still be working by the time I have fully restored my system to where it was this time yesterday. However, it's a start, and at least it shows that the iSight camera issue is in some way related to software in the system folder, rather than a hardware failure.Good luck with it anyway.
