Handoff is one of the most magical Continuity features in Apple's software lineup: Start a task on your iPhone and pick up right where you left off on your Mac or iPad. Even cooler, Handoff works with certain third-party apps, and these are the best ones we've found!

Airbnb

Airbnb lets you find interesting and unique places to stay all over the world. With Handoff support, you can start browsing for places on your iPhone and then view the full blown listing on your Mac. Basically, once you're inside a listing in the iPhone version of Airbnb, your Mac will know what you're looking at and offer a Handoff using your default browser to open the full listing. Aside from Handoff support, Airbnb also supports Notification Center widgets so guests and hosts can see what stays they have coming up in just a swipe.

NYTimes

The NYTimes app brings everything you love about the print version right to your iPhone. With Handoff support, the experience just got even better. Start reading any article on your iPhone and your Mac will automagically know and let you pick up right where you left off on the New York Times website, and vice versa.

iA Writer Pro

iA Writer Pro is a complete writing suite that not only supports Markdown, but also works by breaking down the stages of writing. Each has its own font and style to suit each stage. You can also enjoy Syntax Mode and many other features that make writing long or short form content in iA Writer Pro a great experience from start to finish. Now with Handoff support, you can start writing on your iPhone and pick up on your iPad or Mac.

Pocket

Jan 10, 2020  We end up with so many tasks during the day, it's hard to remember every single thing that needs to be done unless it's laid out in an organized list or project in front of us. This is especially true for those of us who are in front of our Macs all day long, so here are the best to-do apps for Mac to help you stay on task. Things; OmniFocus 3.

Pocket lets you save all the interesting articles, links, and stories you find around the web and in other third-party apps for later. Then when you have time to sit and read, just launch Pocket and pick up where you left off. With support for Handoff in iOS 8, you can now start reading something on your iPhone and pick up where you left off on your iPad. Then if you need to switch back, you can easily do so in just a quick swipe or a few taps in Notification Center. Better yet, Pocket's Mac app also supports Handoff so you can easily switch from desktop to iOS in mere seconds.

Things

Things is a complete task management suite that's available for iPhone, iPad, and Mac. With support for projects and simple task management, Things can be as intricate and organized as you want it to be. Or you can throw things in the inbox and organize them later if you feel like it. With support for Handoff, you can quickly start creating tasks on your iPhone and pick up where you left off on your Mac. Or if you mark something off as complete from one device, it will pick up on the other right away. It's fast and seamless!

Deliveries

Deliveries is our favorite app for tracking packages that are coming our way. Just input a tracking number into Deliveries, and you'll be able to see how many days before it arrives, as well as other details about the delivery like current location, status, and where it is on the map. There's a quick link to the website for further information if needed too. With Handoff, you can check the status of your packages on your iPhone or iPad, and also pick up where you left off on the Mac.

CARROT Weather

Are you a weather junkie who also appreciates some fine snark? Then CARROT Weather is your new best friend. CARROT is an artificial intelligence that likes to throw snide and snarky insults at you while delivering the weather report. You can get the current conditions for your location, or search for new cities and locale to see what the weather is like. The app also has weekly and hourly forecasts. Handoff lets you check the weather from one device and pick up right where you left off on the other device. You'll always be prepared this way!

Fantastical 2

Fantastical 2 is one of the best calendar apps around. It has a simple yet beautiful interface that for your entire schedule, and it integrates fully with Apple Reminders too. Creating new events and tasks is super easy thanks to the natural language input parser, so you can write events out like 'Have coffee with Lory tomorrow at 10 am at Starbucks' and Fantastical takes care of the rest. The Handoff support lets you view, edit, or create new items on your iPhone or iPad and continue on your Mac without skipping a beat.

Bear

If you do a lot of writing, then Bear is the app you want. It features a simple and clean interface that lets you focus on your words and nothing more. You can format your text with one tap, insert images, organize by tags, and more. A Bear Pro subscription gets you cool extras like syncing, themes, and more. With Handoff, you're able to write from your iPhone or iPad and then just continue where you left off on your Mac, or vice versa.

Yoink

Yoink is a fantastic app for those who tend to deal with multiple snippets of text, images, URLs, files, and other attachments. Just copy and paste what you need, or just drag and drop it into Yoink for later. You can then pull those files out of Yoink and into another app — Yoink basically acts as a holding place for your items until you need them. The Handoff support lets you transfer all of your files in Yoink to your Mac and vice versa.

Drafts

Drafts is an app where you dump in whatever text you need, say for a quick jot of a note, or some random thoughts that you don't want to escape. Once it's in Drafts, you can take action on it, such as sending it to your favorite writing app or journal to flesh things out more, or create a new task in your task management app, create a new event on the calendar, and more. Thanks to Handoff, you can start writing on your iPhone or iPad and pick up where you left off on the Mac. There is also iCloud syncing too, so your text goes with you everywhere without a second thought.

Nudget nudges you in the right direction when it comes to budgeting

Struggling with keeping a budget? Yeah, it's hard. Nudget is an app that makes it a little easier.

To-Do software falls under the realm of time management and get things done. A good task management app will answer a question that we ponder every single day (and some of us every single hour!) – “What the F am I meant to be doing?”.

A great To-Do app will let you organize and focus on tasks at hand and complete them in a timely manner. The app should be simple to use, simple to add/edit/create tasks, allow you to plan and organize yourself, let you schedule tasks, and improve your productivity.

Other positive characteristics of good To-Do software include cross-platform support (Mac, iPhone, PC, Web, etc.), syncing between multiple devices, and simple-clean-clever design.

Things

Things, by Culture of Code, was by far the most popular reply to our tweet. Things has a very simple to use interface but its simplicity doesn’t mean they forgo any essential features that make Things a robust To-Do app.

A 15 day free trial of the award wining Things is available for Mac, iPhone, & iPad. The app has a sale price of $49.95.

Things is a beautifully focused and amazingly intuitive task manager. Other todo applications either oversimplify or are too difficult to use. Things instead offers the perfect balance between ease of use and powerful features.

Evernote

Evernote is a very popular app for OS X that is also available as a web app, Windows app, and mobile app for iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch, Android, Blackberry, Palm Pre, and Windows Mobile. That’s a lot of devices!

Evernote is a free app and takes a more “clip” approach to tasks rather than the more conventional approach of creating to-do lists. Think of Evernote as a filofax in which you can scribble notes, create lists, create documents, save images, and create bookmarks of webpages.

Evernote is a free-to-use and ad-supported app that can be upgraded to remove the ads, and increase your monthly online storage amongst other upgrades.

Evernote helps millions worldwide remember anything and everything that happens in their lives. Use Evernote to take notes, save interesting web pages, create to-dos and shopping lists, attach images and PDFs, and so much more. Then, watch as it all instantly synchronizes from your Mac to your smartphone, tablet and the Web, allowing you to find your memories at any time from anywhere.

Wunderlist

Find My Iphone App Mac

Wunderlist is a beautifully simple to use and understand To-Do app. The most interesting thing about Wunderlist is the fact that it’s free and features no in-app advertisements. I can only presume that they are building up a user base while they develop Wunderlist further before making a paid for or ad supported version of the app.

Don’t be fooled by the fact that Wunderlist is free. It’s a ridiculously great piece of software and I’m really looking forward to what the future may bring for Wunderlist.

The process is simple; just download, clicknext-next-next and you are done!.Try, test and work with the application in your local environment. Our installers are self contained. Open edX powered by BitnamiInstallersBitnami native installers automate the setup of a Bitnami application stack onWindows, Mac OS and Linux. Each installer includes all of the software necessary torun out of the box (the stack). Check ourassets.

Wunderlist is a sync-friendly To-Do app that is available for Mac, iPhone, iPad, Android, and Windows.

Wunderlist makes it dead simple to organize your daily life. Just add some lists and start filling them with the things that need to be done. Keep track of your important tasks with reminders and notifications. You can even create a new task from your email inbox. And the best thing is it’s for free.

Omnifocus

Omnifocus is a feature rich and extensive app that, in my opinion, is more of a project management tool than a to-do organizer. The interface is very similar to that of Things but the major difference is that Things is more of a personal focused app and Omnifocus is more centered on business activities.

You will need to devote quite a bit of time to Omnifocus to understand how it works and to get the best out of the app. Omnifocus is available with a 14 day free trial and sells for $79.99.

OmniFocus is designed to quickly capture your thoughts and allow you to store, manage, and process them into actionable to-do items. Perfect for the getting things done system, but flexible enough for any task management style, OmniFocus helps you work smarter by giving you powerful tools for staying on top of all things you need to do.

iCal

iCal is a calendar app that can be easily used as an organizer for to-dos and to manage your time. The hour by hour breakdown in the calendar-cenetric design makes the app very usable since it is simple to add and edit tasks and to get a snapshot of your activities for the rest of the day and week.

The great thing about using iCal, other than it will always be free, is that it is integrated into the OS X operating system and hooks up brilliantly with Mail.app

iCal makes it easy to keep track of your busy schedule. You can create as many separate calendars as you need — one for home, another for school, a third for work, and so on. You can see all your calendars in a single window or choose to see only the calendars you want.
