Our 2D-3D drafting program (Graphite) and 3D modeling software (Cobalt, Xenon and Argon) can not be run on Apple's new OS Catalina (10.15) because Catalina will only run 64-bit applications. We’ve been working diligently to be ready for Catalina’s release, unfortunately, we’re not ready yet.

However, some 3D design software that is not available for Mac OS includes Solidworks (62), 3DS Max (55), and Inventor (55). While these are not many, they still represent quite popular 3D modeling software packages.
AutoCAD ® is computer-aided design (CAD) software that architects, engineers, and construction professionals rely on to create precise 2D and 3D drawings. Draft, annotate, and design 2D geometry and 3D models with solids, surfaces, and mesh objects; Automate tasks such as comparing drawings, adding blocks, creating schedules, and more. Blender is certainly one of the best programs to use on a Mac. It is free, open-source and provides 3D modeling, rigging, animation, simulation, rendering, compositing, motion tracking, video editing, and game creation. All of these great tools can be used to create animated movies, visual effects but also great 3D.
Catalina was released on October 7, 2019, and we anticipate that we will have new releases of our products ready within another 90 to 150 days. Sooner for Cobalt, Xenon, Argon, later for Graphite.
The above said, in any case, we would not advise ANYONE to run Catalina until it has 'seasoned' for a few months. Each release of macOS over the last 15 years has proven problematical for a significant number of Apple customers until after Apple has had a chance to resolve their first batch of real-world issues.
