Jan 24, 2016  I down loaded this app to my kindle fire and it worked great to move my Iphone contacts over the tablet. Appreciate your list of the details '' etc. I find if I enter an appointment on my phone now it automatically moves to my kindle, but not the reverse. Is there a way to also get them to move from my fire hd 8 to my phone? May 04, 2010  When I doubleclick the downloads they open in the 'Kindle for Mac' application on my computer, and I can read them perfectly. However, when I open the 'Kindle App' on my iPad the free books I downloaded are not transferred to my iPad. I tried to sync, both from the 'Kindle for Mac' app on my computer, and on the 'Kindle App' on my iPad.

I'm testing it, but seems that Amazon Kindle OS X floods the net of 'pings' to with something like 500 requests per second!

I imagine this is so the 'Whispersync' status is always up-to-date. It's nothing to worry about, and certainly not enough to eat up your bandwidth or anything, You're not paying for bandwidth by the kilobyte or anything, are you?

Double-clicking the mobi file never worked for me, but this hint saved the day and it transferred right into Kindle. Outstanding!

You do NOT need anything other than iTunes.
Hook up your iPhone, download the Kindle app from the App store, add it to the iPhone with a sync, then select the iPhone in iTunes to manage it. Select the Apps tab in iTunes for the iPhone. Scroll to the bottom half of the window (below the Sync Apps section) to the File Sharing section. Click once on the Kindle app in that list and there will be a Kindle Documents window on the right where one can drag/drop .mobi files directly into your library.
No need to hack the phone, manually go into hidden folders on the Mac or any other madness. Explore iTunes -- your options and solution are readily there.

The hint is about the OS X app, not the iOS app.

iOS 13 and iPadOS 13 add long-awaited support for external drive access in the Files application. This means you can access files on a USB drive, SD card, or hard drive directly from your iPhone. One YouTuber has also discovered that this makes it incredibly easy to manage a Kindle with iOS 13 and iPadOS 13.

This isn’t necessarily a surprising discovery; when you plug a Kindle in a Mac, it works just like a USB flash drive. What’s unique, however, is that when paired with Safari’s new download manager in iOS 13, you can download a book and transfer it to your Kindle, all from your iPhone or iPad.

In the video below, YouTuber ‘Napabar’ details how to copy a book from your iPhone to your Kindle using Apple’s Lightning to USB-A adapter. In the video, you can see how to download a free book from Project Gutenberg, transfer it from your iPhone to your Kindle via the Files app, and then read the book on your Kindle.

This is particularly useful if you’re in an area where there’s no WiFi connectivity as you can download the book via your cellular connection, then easily transfer it directly to your Kindle. Typically, you’d have to email the file to your Kindle, which of course you can’t do if there’s no available internet for the e-reader.

As we spend more time with iOS 13 and iPadOS 13, we’ll undoubtedly discover more ways to take advantage of external drive support in the Files app. The feature has been a longtime coming for many people, and there are numerous different use cases for it.
