Known issues

  • 32 bit applications will not work on macOS Catalina. You will need to stay on a lower version until you can find alternative software. More information on how to find which of your apps are 32 bit is available in the Knowledge Base.
  • Apple has extended the PPPC and TTC protocols to include users Documents, Desktops, and Downloads. This means software like CrashPlan and Sophos cannot access these directories by default with granting full disk access manually. Machines enrolled in the IS&T Jamf instance will have this issue automatically resolved. Manual steps for granting an application full disk access is available in the Knowledge Base.
  • Third party kernel extensions (such as Sophos, Crowdstrike, and VMware) will require a reboot before they take effect.
  • Apple has deprecated language runtimes including python, ruby, and perl. They will not be included in future versions of macOS.
